Edel Van Riet has always been drawn to the edge of the map. As a young adventurer, he left for Latin America on a solo journey — volunteering in Guatemala, guiding volcano hikes in Nicaragua, crossing the Mexican jungle, sailing to Colombia.

Then, deep in the Sierra Madre mountains, he met the Rarámuri — an indigenous people whose name means 'those with light feet.' Renowned long-distance runners, they move through the world with simplicity, endurance, and a deep connection to the land beneath them.

That encounter became the seed of something bigger.
