Supporting the people behind the name
For each pair of Rarámuri sandals sold, we donate to the Fundación Tarahumara José A. Llaguno, A.B.P. – a foundation working to reduce poverty and social exclusion for indigenous communities in the Tarahumara Mountain Range of Northern Mexico.
Their work reaches across three pillars: education, clean water, and food security. These aren't abstract causes – they're daily realities for the Rarámuri people, and your purchase helps change them.

Inspired by their spirit. Committed to their future.
The Rarámuri people of northern Mexico are known for their extraordinary endurance, their connection to the natural world, and a way of life rooted in community and land. Their tradition of running barefoot or in handmade sandals across rugged mountain terrain became the seed of this brand.
We carry their name with deep respect. That's why, for our 5th anniversary, we shipped hundreds of pairs of Rarámuri sandals directly to communities in the Sierra Tarahumara - so the people who inspired us could enjoy them too.
Our aim has always been simple: give back to the people and place that gave us our purpose.

Our journey so far
Previous projects
Before partnering with the Tarahumara Foundation, Rarámuri gave back through two other initiatives. Each one reflects the same belief: that a small brand can still do meaningful things.
Planting Trees
Honouring the Rarámuri's deep relationship with the earth, we planted our own seeds - literally. Over three years, we put more than 7,500 trees in the ground across the globe, creating over 44,192 m² of forest and offsetting roughly 746 tonnes of CO₂.

Thousand Girls Initiative
While travelling through Latin America, Edel found purpose in teaching children in Guatemala. Back home, that inspiration became action. Rarámuri donated $2,281 to the Thousand Girls Initiative - funding one full year of education for 5 girls living in poverty.
